Role Profile

The main purpose of this role is to lead the day-to-day billing of the different service lines pertaining to the London Stock Exchange for existing customers, and any potential customers, making sure that processes and policies are adhered to and pre-determined functional and interpersonal objectives and schedules are met.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will have ownership for:
  • Support the Contracts and Sales Ledger Supervisor in the set up and invoicing of all new business contracts.
  • Handling the inter sales inbox and Service Now platform, ensuring all contract stages are logged in to support new business calculations and all contracts are appropriately booked within each quarter.
  • Supervising and tracking the status of contracts between sales, legal and the end customers.
  • Completion of new business contract checklist for use in the review of the billing and contract set up.
  • Ensure the set-up of new revenue contracts are actioned, reviewing the ongoing maintenance of the contract to ensure invoices are issued right first time" and housekeeping activities have been completed.
  • Ensure billing runs take place on time and that any interface issues are resolved quickly.
  • Ensure that variable billing is supervised, validated, and actioned.
  • Ownership of timely and accurate distribution of daily/weekly invoices to end customers.
  • Review work of billing subordinates to ensure accuracy, resolving inconsistencies as needed.
  • Preparing draft credit notes and re-bills with associated paperwork for review.
  • Proactively handle ad-hoc requests from customers
  • Production of month end revenue accrual journals for unrecognised revenue.
  • Month end provision calculations on bad debt and supply information regarding credits and re-bills.
  • Help with external and internal audit queries.
  • Supporting the Assistant Manager in ensuring training and development, succession planning is led.
  • Supporting and working together with other FSO functions to achieve overall FSO targets and objectives.
  • Collaborating with all customers in achieving overall group objectives and targets.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Pursuing relevant degree or professional qualification at the final level
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience and having experience in an Accounts Receivable team in a large organisation would be an added advantage.
  • Strong Accounting/Book-Keeping Entry Knowledge
  • Be a lead proponent in driving a collaborative culture to working across finance.
  • Capable of good time management in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Specially in Excel).
  • Effective oral and written English communication.
  • Detail focus, and accuracy orientation.
  • Planning and prioritising according to business needs.
  • Ability to work according to UK /US work hours.
  • Prepare and analyse AR reports, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data to senior management.
  • Find opportunities for process improvements and implement standard methodologies to streamline AR workflows and improve cash flow
  • Experience of mainframe accounts systems such as Oracle/SAP is helpful.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations
