About the role

In your role as Investment Risk Analyst you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to work within the Financial Risk Group.

The role will focus on the function of Risk Infrastructure & Engineering.

The team is currently focused on the implementation of a new risk platform used to compute market risk metrics for the scheme as a whole and individual investment desks.

What you will be doing

As a trusted part of the PAIR you will be responsible for:
  • You will contribute to the delivery of the new risk platform implementation project as well as assist with the execution of regular tasks and responsibilities of the team
  • Regular responsibilities typically involve running risk reports and models, making use of automation as much as possible
  • These activities span the domains of Investment Risk, Liability Modelling, ALM and Valuation related metrics, as well as Investment Performance
  • The role will require knowledge of python, SQL, and understanding of core Investment Risk concepts. Being an expert in all of these is not required, but at a minimum you should be familiar with these topics and eager to learn/develop these skills further

To be successful in the role you will have:
  • Comfortable working with data and conducting analyses
  • Able to work on problems independently
  • Attention to details
  • Previous experience in Investment Risk or Advanced degree in Finance (or similar)
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language
  • Python & SQL
  • Knowledge of other languages considered
