  • Preference for candidates with strong compliance background who have experience in operationalisation and implementation aspects of regulatory requirements in respect of corporate functions, particularly regulatory requirements relating to technology risks, operational risks and other risk types.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements that apply to your industry.
  • Stay updated with any changes or new regulations that may affect the organization.
  • Take initiative in identifying potential compliance risks and developing strategies to address them.
  • Experience end-to-end operationalisation of regulatory requirements by driving or participating in implementation projects with management of bank stakeholders.
  • Compliance representative at many bank-wide implementation projects in respect of regulatory requirements
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and anticipate their impact on the organization.
  • Implement proactive measures to ensure compliance rather than reacting to issues as they arise.
What you do
  • Provide regulatory compliance advice to corporate functions of the bank comprising risk, operations and technology, other support functions and others assigned.
  • Act as the liaison with regulators on regulatory compliance matters including on inspection and thematic reviews, responding to information requests and surveys, and collating the necessary information from internal bank stakeholders.
  • Drive the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
  • Opining on regulatory breaches in respect of understanding of corporate functions' work and issues.
  • Manage breach reporting process and track completion of rectification actions.
  • Maintain the library of regulations and its relevance to the relevant functions.
  • Collate and track regulatory developments and significant issues of subsidiaries and international offices.
  • Prepare and review regulatory compliance policies and procedures of the bank, international offices, and subsidiaries

Qualifications
Who you are
  • Degree qualifications, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance in a bank or external audit focusing on audit of financial institutions in the areas of corporate functions.
  • Strong regulatory technical skills in respect of MAS regulations and FATCA, CRS.
  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to bring about meeting of minds across many units across the bank
  • Familiar with financial products and services.
  • Proven leadership, organization and facilitation skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive, independent and resourceful.
