Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senor Planning and Performance Manager to join us on a 6 month fixed-term contract, in either London or Hove!

You'll play a key role in overseeing the portfolio of Group Technology's projects and initiatives, collaborating with colleagues and delivery teams to ensure smooth delivery to plan and budget, whilst also driving forward planning to deliver future year plans. What you'll be doing:
  • Leading on the delivery roadmap to improve the transparency and management of technology costs, including continuing to develop capability on the Apptio financial management tool. Continuing to develop a revised cost model for the Group based on a new definition of services and consumption
  • Working with the business partnering team to support and enhance cost transparency with business divisions and building on work with the Technology Business Management Office, continuing to build capability and reporting on their Apptio platform to deliver consumption-based charging and cost visibility to cost centre owners and the wider enterprise
  • Leading on the management of activities to drive cost reduction to meet targets, working collaboratively with the Leadership team to achieve objectives. Continuously identifying cost reduction opportunities, tactical or strategic, and driving plans for implementation to maximise the value of technology spend
  • Leading the annual financial planning process for the function, partnering with the Head of Group Technology Transformation on the creation of an annual business plan and multi-year investment view in-line with business strategy. Driving greater ownership of costs within the function to improve the quality of forecasting and any corrective action that needs to be taken for the budget to deliver successfully
  • Working with our Group Technology finance business partnering team and Group Finance colleagues as needed to ensure that financial processes are controlled, forecasts are accurate, and in-year and future-year planning is well managed to meet Group Technology, Group Finance and wider enterprise needs
  • Working closely with the Interim COO, Project Managers, the Group PMO, Finance teams and business leads to drive a single view and management of change activity and manage the funding priority process. Challenging and tracking the value of deliveries and driving the mitigation of risk across the change portfolio
  • Partnering with Group Finance to provide quality and timely reporting to the Leadership Team for monthly financial governance. Providing quality reporting and insights to the Leadership Team on cost transparency and opportunities
  • Leading the team that will work closely with the Group Finance Technology Business Management Office (TBMO) to manage the Apptio financial management and planning tool, ensuring this is supported, that feeds are successfully imported and that dashboards and reports are produced and maintained to support stakeholder insight
Qualifications

Who we're looking for:
  • You'll be well versed in working with organisations to drive out cost transparency, helping to create a culture of continuous focus cost understanding
  • Strong commercial skills and experience of working with procurement and sourcing to realise cost transparency targets
  • Experience of cost transparency within an IT environment, and detailed knowledge of IT cost base by tower would be a huge plus
  • Implementing/working with Finance tooling such as Apptio would also be great
  • Experience in creating cost models to reflect total cost of ownership
