About the Role

Join Swiss Re and its Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) team as a Strategy Support and play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our department. As part of our dynamic and motivated "Strategy & Office" team, you will define and execute our strategic initiatives, engage with senior stakeholders, and contribute to high-impact projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your career within a leading global reinsurer.

Your key responsibilities include:
• Own process management
• Own end-to-end delivery of operational processes, management of on-/offboarding, SharePoint, and Intranet, and maintain key operational tools such as Confluence, Jira, and other project management platforms, etc.
• Drive process automation and efficiency
• Identify opportunities for streamlining and automating current workflows and execute their implementation within GFO&T
• Keep governance and risk aligned
• Monitor operational risks through ensuring proper oversight of governance and risk control activities across the department
• Support cost management
• Support monitoring and management of departmental budgets and CO2 budget in-line with strategic plan. Assist in coordinating the Finance Project Portfolio demands
• Support and drive resource planning
• Contribute to the planning and allocation of resources to meet operational demands. Support the management of schedules and workloads to optimize team performance
• Engage with ad-hoc GFO&T requests and events
• Provide support in overall departmental office management, e.g. ad-hoc requests or departmental events, such as townhalls, Finance weeks, and summer events

About the Team

Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is the unit responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information Globally for Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision-making. This includes IFRS for Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re's legal entities, including SST and Solvency 2. GFO&T spearheads the transformation of Global finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward-looking organization

About You

You are a motivated, organized and entrepreneurially minded team player with a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing operational processes. You possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in a related field, such as management consulting, business transformation or operations
• A strong academic background, preferably in Strategy, Business Administration, or Finance
• Experience with budgeting and cost management
• Superior organizational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently with a problem-solving mindset
• Familiarity with operational tools such as Confluence, Jira, or other project management platforms preferred
• Solid understanding of process improvement and automation concepts preferred
