Job Purpose
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Business Finance Department with key focus on Embedded Value reporting for Great Eastern Singapore's life business and Great Eastern Group.
The Job
• Support the preparation and analysis of monthly new business embedded value ("NBEV") for Singapore Life business and Great Eastern Group.
• Support the preparation of annual embedded value ("EV") reporting, including the review of EV related assumptions for Singapore Life business and Great Eastern Group.
• Assist in the analysis of profits of Great Eastern's businesses to provide actionable insights to support decision-decision making.
• Assist in annual business planning exercise and forecasting of key financial metrics to improve the predictability of business performances in order to achieve long-term financial sustainability.
• Participate in corporate-wide initiatives and projects.
• Identify and highlight business risk and opportunities to improve the financial performance.
• Foster a data-driven analytical culture by assembling the business data and translate them into business insights.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Our Requirements
• Degree holder in Actuarial Science and with good progress in Actuarial exams;
• Up to 3 years of experience in actuarial work;
• Familiar with Singapore RBC regulations and IFRS 17 is an advantage;
• Proficient at Actuarial work applications (Prophet, MS Excel/VBA, SQL);
• Proactive in initiating and leading discussion with various stakeholders;
• Excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills;
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork;
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
