Senior Fund Accountant - Limerick or Dublin - 12 Month Contract

We are recruiting for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their Fund Accounting department. It is a great opportunity to work for one of the leading custodian banks. Offering Hybrid working in either their Limerick or Dublin Office and a 12 Month Contract.

Role Overview
The role involves reviewing and signing off NAV calculations, being the subject matter expert for fund-specific requirements, and leading new system enhancements and procedures. The Senior Consultant will also gather and provide feedback to stakeholders. This position suits candidates with prior fund accounting or relevant operational/accounting experience looking to advance their careers.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead systems testing and team procedures.
• Act as the technical and subject matter expert for specific fund requirements.
• Mentor team members on projects and assignments.
• Lead the team in cross-functional processes or project deliverables, minimizing errors.
• Stay informed about industry trends and developments.
• Develop and implement long-term departmental strategy.
• Foster a client service culture and ensure high-quality service.
• Design and implement development, training, and succession plans for staff.
• Delegate projects and tasks, maintaining accountability and providing feedback.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand and manage business needs.

Skills/Experience:

• Preferred: Fund accounting or relevant operational/accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Enterprise and Fund Accounting applications, including system interfaces.
• Experience with vendors (Bloomberg, Reuters) is advantageous.
• Third-level qualification or pursuing a professional accounting qualification is an advantage but not required.
