EXPERIENCED GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT(COMMERCIAL COMPANY)(M/F)
DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to assist our client, a multinational commercial Company, in the recruitment of an Experienced General Ledger Accountant for its Luxembourg office.
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join the corporate office of a well-known US company.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the General Ledger Accountant will be part of a team of 5 people, responsible for the whole general ledger activities and will ensure the timely and accurate preparation and control of balance sheet.
THE JOB :
-Responsible for all general ledger activities and month end closing process.
-Control of the Balance sheet and P&L accounts before submitting the month end trial balance.
-Responsibility to ensure that the accounts analysis is done at month end that all the variances are explained, and reports are submitted to the US in a timely manner.
-Responsibility to ensure that all general ledger balance sheet accounts are reconciled and signed, and the checklist is sent promptly to the US.
-Responsible for the timely submission of the VAT returns.
-Responsibility to ensure that all the SOX controls are performed adequately.
-Assist for the year end audit.
-Provision of assistance and support to the Finance Manager as required.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
-Experience carrying out general ledger activities within commercial/industrial companies
- Fluency in English is required, other languages such as French and/or Polish/Dutch would be a plus.
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in Audit/General Accounting (big 4 preferable).
-Possess a financial Degree or Similar accounting CPA.
-Previous experience with a strong knowledge in external or internal audit in an International/Multi-national company would be beneficial, preferably with a US parent.
- Knowledge of US GAAP/Lux GAAP .
-Used to adhering to tight reporting deadlines,
-Demonstrates an organized and structured approach.
-Experience in a transportation or import /export activity would be of advantage.
-Highly computer literate, with confident knowledge of Excel / Word and preferably Oracle
-Communicative, dynamic and team-work oriented personality, with a strong team spirit

Our Client is a multinational Company, with their financial center based in the heart of Luxembourg city.
