We are seeking a talented Sr. Financial Analyst to join our amazing organization and growing team located at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC. The Sr. Financial Analyst assists in the preparation and maintenance of profitability analysis, including but not limited to specific products, delivery channels, and members/households. This employee will assist in the annual budget process including working with leaders of key business units to develop departmental projections based on strategic initiatives, general trends, and economic forecasts. The job functions will include financial analysis and information services. The Sr. Financial Analyst will work directly with members of Senior and Executive Management to provide financial analysis needed to make strategic business decisions. Remote work is not available. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in developing product pricing, including but not limited to making deposit rate and loan rate recommendations in conjunction with market rates and balance sheet metrics.
  • Work directly with various departments and managers to provide research and analysis for various pricing and profitability analysis requests.
  • Aid in preparing and reporting required regulatory documents and analysis as required by NCUA regulations, including but not limited to measuring liquidity, interest rate, and credit risks.
  • Effectively support the annual regulatory examination cycle by assimilating requested reports and analysis.
  • Effectively support the annual financial statement audit and any periodic internal audits.
  • Provide business intelligence through translating risk analysis into impactful balance sheet strategies while also achieving regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in compiling and analyzing various presentations for Senior Management, the Asset & Liability Management Committee (ALCO) and the Board of Directors to include ALM and             Balance Sheet modeling, liquidity oversight, variance reporting, ratios and other analysis.
  • Facilitate meetings with business units to identify data needed to make strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology to extract raw data from Corelation KeyStone.
  • Analyze raw data to identify trends and insights, resulting in actionable and digestible information to share with Executive and Senior Management to optimize Credit Union performance.
  • Review quarterly ALM reports for reasonableness.
  • Perform special projects or initiatives as assigned.
  • Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA; employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Analytics, or related business field
  • Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
  • Three to five years relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
  • Experience using data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau (preferred)
  • Previous financial institution experience (preferred)
