Director, Head of Alternatives

This position will manage all facets of Americo’s alternative investment portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio manager for the Company’s alternative asset portfolio including Fund LP commitments, direct GP or LP investments, GP led co-investments, and control investments.

Monitor existing limited partnership and co-investments with third-party managers
Originate, diligence and close GP led investments.

Cultivate and manage a network of placement agents and originate new limited partnership investments with third-party managers.

Manage the firm’s existing direct investments and originate new direct investments.

Interface with internal employees to assist in reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements of the private and alternative equities’ portfolio.
 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

10-20 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or investment management.

Demonstrated track record of success in managing alternative investments.

Ability to manage all phases of an investment including origination, diligence, management of outside legal counsel and negotiation of legal documents, and portfolio monitoring.

High degree of intellectual aptitude and curiosity coupled with the ability to quickly dissect complex situations and make sound decisions based on available information.
