Position summary
V-Square Quantitative Management (V-Square), a rapidly growing global investment management firm, is currently seeking a Client Portfolio Manager within its Client Group (CG). The individual will be responsible for new business development for V-Square within the institutional and intermediaries Marketplace in the US regions, with a goal of growing assets within this segment. The selected candidate will be an exceptional communicator, will maintain/develop technical expertise in quantitative finance and thematic investing, as well as a deep knowledge of the institutional asset management marketplace.
Role and responsibilities:
Key requirements of the position include:
• Ensure high quality engagement with clients and prospects.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the firm’s Factor, Passive, and thematic offerings with
awareness of tax management.
• Work with our Research, Performance, Technology, Compliance, and Creative Services teams to
develop presentation materials and strategy commentary.
• Own the RFP’s/RFI’s process.
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills, particularly via phone/video.
• Exceptional client service/relationship building skills and demeanor. Experience working with data for primary research.
• Superior work ethic.
• Ability to multi‐task.
• Intellectual curiosity and passion for financial markets.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Self‐starter.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Own, define and execute V-Square’s distribution strategy for the U.S. Territory, including proposing ideas for new products and amending existing product line and working with senior management on distribution strategies.
• Effective independent contributor with positive attitude and ability to drive initiatives independently.
• Self-starter that will excel and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial team environment.
• High energy, motivated individual with commitment to excellence.
• Champion a consistent adoption of Salesforce as a key tool for measuring the success of our distribution effort.
• Minimum of 5 years direct product sales and/or management experience with an asset manager, a consultant or wealth manager.
• Regular domestic client travel.
• BA/BS degree required.
• CFA Designation.
Educational Requirements:
The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree with a demonstrated record of superior academic performance.
