Consulting Manager

The Role
A Consulting Manager is a critical role within the Cognizant Technology Consulting Team. In this position you will collaborate within a squad of cross skilled consultants (Strategists, solution designers, engineers), providing Technology advisory services to our clients. Typically, you will engage in 8-12week consulting projects, tackling complex challenges and crafting technology strategies/roadmaps that empower our clients to create, develop, and deliver valued experiences. While each engagement/client is unique, a standard project might involve leading a Technology evaluation and selection, overseeing an ongoing technology program, or strategizing on modernizing legacy applications for a client. The role demands a product-centric approach and strong leadership to navigate and drive the technology landscape effectively.

In this Consulting Manager role you can expect to:

• Craft client-specific strategic technology solutions with a product-centric mindset.
• Offer advisory consulting to business and technology leaders on topics such as asset teams, product management, and platform architecture.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for technology-driven transformations, from strategic vision and business case development to solution implementation.
• Collaborate with clients in a multi-disciplinary team to create Technology artifacts, such as Technology heat maps, that provide senior executives with clear insights.
• Assist account executives in shaping significant deals/pursuits and presenting solutions/proposals to clients, particularly in areas like product-centric architecture, due diligence, technology selection, or digital technology integration.
• Coach and mentor junior consultants to enhance their skills in technology consulting with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and leadership.

• Experience in Technology services, with a strong emphasis on product design and cross-functional team leadership.
• A proven track record in guiding clients through advisory, technology selection, and solutioning, playing an outcome focused role in leading complex transformation projects.
• Crating innovative technology roadmaps, with experience in product-centric architecture and integration architecture with emphasis on measuring and delivering value.
• In-depth experience with a range of digital and cloud technologies, microservices/APIs, and a solid understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies.
• Significant onsite and client-facing experience, adaptable across various domains and industries.
• Adept at building executive relationships during engagements to drive successful outcomes, uncover new consulting opportunities, and effectively position for additional consulting work with clients.
