Join Our Team as a Loans Administration Officer!

About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our team on a contract basis. This dynamic role combines loans administration and MRPA (Master Risk Participation Agreements) processing with process design and training delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing Activities:
  • Support Corporate and Private Banking (CIB/PB) with all bilateral and syndicated loan processes, ensuring compliance with departmental controls.
  • Manage interactions with external parties related to loans administration.

Process Design/Enhancements:
  • Develop and manage the accurate recording and reporting of MRPAs.
  • Support the rollout of Islamic finance propositions, ensuring systems and processes are in place.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT to integrate MRPAs into the Bank's systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify and suggest improvements to loan processing based on previous experience.
  • Deliver training to and transition activities to an offshore team, alleviating pressure on Credit Administration and CIB departments.

Daily Processing Activities:
  • Review and process loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor drawdown instructions and ensure compliance with conditions precedent.
  • Prepare execution instructions for the Loans Processing Team.
  • Ensure timely processing of transactions within approved SLAs.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external agents for smooth process execution.
  • Maintain and update customer records and loan-related documentation.
  • Resolve issues promptly to mitigate financial or reputational risks.
  • Coordinate loan sell-downs and secondary market loan transactions.
  • Ensure all Islamic loan transactions comply with Shariah requirements.

What We're Looking For:
  • At least 8 years of experience in banking, with a focus on Loan Administration or Middle Office operations.
  • Proficiency in reviewing loan documentation and extracting operational information.
  • Experience in Islamic Financing (Murabaha, Ijara, etc.) is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Flexible team player willing to cover for colleagues as needed.

Why Join Us? Be a part of a collaborative and supportive team where your contributions make a significant impact. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to apply their expertise in a dynamic banking environment.

If you have the experience and drive to excel in this role, we'd love to hear from you!
