Financial Systems Support Lead
This role will perform a broad range of technical work including developing, coordinating and supporting the finance department's technical initiatives. In addition to participating in the monthly close process.
Partner with business colleagues across the organization and team members within Finance to understand and interpret functional requirements, translate them into technical specifications, collaborate with IT resources, and deliver solutions on existing and new platforms.
Requires collaboration with Technology to secure data requirements as well as an in-depth understanding of financial solutions to ensure accurate configuration of accounting rules.

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- 6 years of experience in Administration of Finance, Accounting, and Planning applications
- 4 years of experience in implementation of industry standard financial systems
- 4 years of experience in participation in medium to complex projects
- 3 years of experience working proficiently with all skill levels of management and staff

Position Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
- Perform operational tasks related to the monthly close process.
- Oversight of Accounting SOX applications, data and reporting to ensure timeline and accurate results.
- Review current financial and accounting processes and lead the redesign of those processes into new solutions that create efficiencies.
- Lead the business system technical implementation of configuration, testing, execution, quality assurance and delivery of initiatives.
- Lead the financial application upgrades and replacement. Partner with Finance.
- Transformation on large projects impacting applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT and accounting, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of finance systems.
Strategic Thinking
- Provide strategic direction related to current financial processes.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within financial systems and work with stakeholders to prioritize and implement those improvements.
- Provides recommendations on new or enhanced systems, software, upgrades and modifications and advocates for process changes that align with business practices.
- Leverage the available technologies, best practices, industry standards, methodologies, and frameworks to define and execute on department vision and strategy.
- Ensure adherence to standards and guidelines based on industry best practices of information management within an enterprise environment encompassing data integrity and security protocols.
- Participate in reviewing biannual Workday releases; develop, test, train and deploy new Workday functionality.
Customer and Business Partnership
- Build strong client partnership with technical team. Partner with the technical team to lead system integration testing and UAT for deployments.
- Advise the business on standard methodologies to better optimize our enterprise tools.
- Collaborate internally with all levels of personnel and externally with vendors.to assist with successful transformation of new sources into Workday.
- Provide recommendations on new or enhanced systems, software, upgrades or modifications and advocates for process changes that align with business practices.
- Ensure adequate project communication and integration occurs across departments, systems, and platforms and users.
- Drive and lead collaboration with the Data Stewards on data integrity.
Risk Ownership
- Ensure all system configuration meets regulatory and corporate compliance policies.
- Actively partner with Data Stewards to ensure proper data governance.
- Faciliate and lead process with data stewards for resolution on pain points.
- Maintain and update all process documentation.
- Promote a risk-aware culture that proactively seeks to mitigate risk where appropriate.
