THE OPPORTUNITY
Who you will work with
The Associate, Investments will work under the supervision of the Managing Director, Investments, and will collaborate with senior Schusterman team members.
Where and how you will work
Schusterman employees work a weekly hybrid schedule with a mix of in-office time and work-from-home flexibility. For this role, you will need to be based in Tulsa, OK. This is a full-time position. Please note that Schusterman does not cover relocation expenses for this position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES)
The Associate, Investments will help manage the current investment portfolio, perform investment-related research, and evaluate investment opportunities across various asset classes including public equity, fixed income, and alternatives. This position will have a broad range of investment responsibilities and will require a generalist investment mindset.
Portfolio management, analysis, and reporting (50%)
- Help manage and track existing investments including private equity fund and direct investments, as well as public equity and hedge fund manager allocations.
- Maintain financial models for private equity portfolio companies.
- Perform portfolio-related analysis and aid in the overall performance reporting process.
Investment-related research (25%)
- Generate company specific investment research, industry analysis, and macroeconomic insights as guided by the senior Schusterman investment team.
New investment opportunity evaluation (25%)
- Help evaluate new investment opportunities across all asset classes and be an integral part of the diligence process.
- Maintain and develop certain investment manager, company and coinvestment network relationships.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in asset management, investment banking, or other relevant investment-related fields.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis with a strong Microsoft Excel skillset.
- Project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Entrepreneurial mindset to help across various initiatives within the family office.
- Ability to interface with financial software platforms (Bloomberg, Caissa, etc).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships, both internal and external.
- High level of professional and personal integrity with good judgement.
- Proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with complete confidentiality.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically, including to other branches of the family office and for investment due diligence and meetings.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- MBA or CFA is encouraged but not required.
