The role
The Project Manager drives multi-year projects which involves planning, execution and business change. This includes leading large and complex projects from business case through all execution phases to completion.
The team
The Project Delivery team is part of the Chief of Staff and Enterprise Services division (ChES) . The team comprises of Project Managers, Change Managers and PMO and is responsible for partnering with all divisions across APRA to deliver strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Scope, plan and lead delivery activities across nominated projects, including detailed planning of milestones, deliverables and tasks.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and day-to-day management of project resources.
- Monitoring and reporting on progress to plan in terms of scope, schedule, costs and change management activities.
- Managing risks issues and dependencies; initiating corrective actions and maintaining visibility and escalating to project governance bodies when appropriate.
- Managing change or deviation from the plan with appropriate governance.
- Maximising efficient allocation of resources and skills within the project.
- Adherence to APRA's project management standards for key activities including status reporting, project finance management, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement and governance.
About you
- Extensive project management experience, with demonstrated experience in managing regulatory projects and technical projects within financial services.
- Highly proficient in building partnerships and influencing stakeholder at all levels.
- Excellent skills in the use of 'agile' techniques.
- Exceptional communication, presentation and facilitation skills and a highly professional approach.
- Experience in vendor, contract management and procurement of digital solutions.
- Program management experience is highly desirable.
- Formal project management certification (e.g. PMBOK, Prince 2, Scrum etc.).
