Job Overview
Role is divided into five components - Ledger accounting, financial reporting, management reporting and service and process management. Responsible for daily execution of product and general ledger entries and operate monthly closure procedures. Prepares regulatory reports, Balance Sheet, P&L and perform key controls and quality controls. Assists in creating management information reports, dashboards, and other ad-hoc requests. Monitors processes and supports in the preparation of service and process monitoring reports.

Job Overview

Prepares regulatory reports, Balance Sheet, P&L and perform key controls and quality controls. Assists in creating management information reports, dashboards, and other ad-hoc requests. Monitors processes and supports in the preparation of service and process monitoring reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution of product and general ledger accounting and processing of month-end closure procedure
- Preparation of regulatory reports, Balance Sheet, P&L and processing of key controls and quality controls
- Managing of the month-end intercompany reconciliation process for ledger
- Preparation of invoices, accruals, asset management activities, etc. (daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually, and additional reporting requests as required)
- Creation of management information reports & dashboards
- Process improvement around Head Office accounting & reporting functions
- Ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards and ING financial reporting framework
- Project related Head Office reporting requirements
- Other ad hoc projects as requested.
Key Capabilities/Experience
- Good at financial, management, or cost accounting & reporting
- Passion for data, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a love of problem-solving
- Fast learner with eye for accuracy
- Proficient knowledge of finance preferred
- Proven organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
- User experience of PeopleSoft ERP and/or Service Now would be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication
- Critical thinking to problem solve
- Develop strong working knowledge of BU objectives and form close business ties with Finance and key BU stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Equivalent
- Master's Degree and Certified Public Accountant certification is desired
- Basic to proficient understanding of banking knowledge and products
- Knowledgeable on IFRS
- Understanding of key financial markets and lending products traded in ING, as well as key EU regulations
- Experience of UAT testing for system changes
- Ability to work on tasks and manage own time to meet deadlines
- Skilled in communicating on complex topics and solutions and must be open to ideas from others
- Comfortable working in in an international context
- Transparent, flexible, and motivated to make every day a success
