Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AVP, Treasury - Liquidity Management to join our team. This role will support the Liquidity Management and general Treasury Finance & Market Risk Management activities for Synchrony. Specific areas of focus include, but are not limited to, supporting liquidity risk management framework, executed through firm-wide liquidity monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support development and execution of Synchrony's liquidity management strategies
  • Monitor Synchrony's liquidity positions and market conditions, to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Treasury FP&A and ALM teams to conduct Liquidity stress testing and scenario analysis
  • Ensure monitoring of liquidity early warning indicators
  • Support maintenance and testing of contingency plans to mitigate potential liquidity risks
  • Prepare regular reports and documentation on liquidity positions, trends, and risk reporting for ALCO/FLWIG, Capital Planning, the Board of Directors, regulatory agencies, and other internal stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to Synchrony's Liquidity Policy & Procedures to maintain strong process governance
  • Support SEC and Regulatory Reporting requirements related to Liquidity specifically FR2052a filing
  • Assist with implementation of key Treasury strategic initiatives and simplification efforts
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred or in lieu of degree, 8 years equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Treasury, Finance, Capital or similar functions
  • Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analytics

  • Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully work in cross-functional projects/process improvement within the treasury function
  • Ability to create and deliver business presentations and communicate effectively
  • Good communication skills: Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to senior management and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience working in financial business environment with a sound understanding of process and transactional flows
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and Knowledge of other programming tools such as Python, Tableau is a plus

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • N ew hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
