This is an established and stable integrated energy trading company headquartered in Singapore. Due to growing business needs, there is a newly created opportunity for a high calibre Accountant / Senior Accountant to join a high calibre finance team.

Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant / Senior Accountant is responsible for performing month-end closing, delivering accurate and timely accounting reports and GST reporting. He/ She will be responsible for the P&L for the product lines, and ensure the ins-and-outs of trading transactions, including ensuring timely payments and receipts required. The Senior Accountant will also identify, initiate and support improvement projects of financial systems and processes.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a degree in a finance discipline. Ideally, you will have worked at least 4-5 years in accounting and finance in commodities trading companies, either in energy or non-energy commodities experience.

This role is open to candidates straight from audit with commodities audit experience. You will be described as strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
