The Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Performance Analyst position will join the centralized Performance, Analytics and Risk (PAR) team in supporting multiple groups across the organization. The role will be an integral part of the team that is responsible for all aspects surrounding the overall production, maintenance and analysis of Performance and Risk reporting within the Wealth Advisory Group.
Within the PAR team, this position is primarily responsible for fulfilling periodic custom reporting needs and responding to ad-hoc performance related requests which could include custom performance, risk analysis, performance attribution and other portfolio analytics. It would also involve maintaining various performance and proposal tools.
In addition, this function would also have additional responsibilities in assisting with periodic market analysis, peer analysis, quantitative screening of prospective investment managers and maintaining external manager due-diligence databases. This role also has a requirement to collaborate extensively across various teams including those in the Wealth Advisory Group, building a strong understanding of their processes and to develop solutions and efficiencies through initiating ad-hoc projects and analysis.
Further, this role would be expected to cross-train across other functions within the PAR team and assist on other related projects as needed. This role will be based in our Century City, CA office and the position will be hybrid, ideally onsite Monday through Wednesday weekly.
Job Duties:
- Produce timely delivery of periodic client reporting and create custom reporting as needed. Respond to internal ad-hoc requests for data (e.g. custom client performance and risk requests, portfolio analytics, peer analysis, market data). Create and maintain performance reporting portals, screening tools, due-diligence databases and proprietary proposal tools. Develop and maintain knowledge of the Fund landscape to facilitate peer group analysis and external manager research. Proactively source, recommend and Implement process changes across groups as needed. Collaborate to develop and complete special initiative projects as needed.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, statistics or equivalent. Progress towards CFA, CIPM, CFP or other relevant designations is a plus. 3 to 6 years’ relevant experience ideally within the wealth management industry. Enthusiasm for financial markets and investing. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with holdings-based and returns-based analysis as well as performance measurement concepts. Experience with FactSet, Morningstar, and/or eVestment analytics is preferred. Proficient in MS Excel (sort, search, link, pivot tables, formatting, formulas, macros, VB, etc.). Experience using eMoney is preferred.

Effective organizational skills, with the ability to focus on details within the context of the overall goals. Self-starter with motivation to develop new ideas to enhance current procedures. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain detailed messages to internal stakeholders. Able to work independently, but also effectively in a team environment.

The salary range is $99,000 to $121,000.
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
