- To lead the Data & AI project end to end from development to deployment
- To help the leaders make the right technology decisions for data engineering/science, data hosting and to identify the right partners for development.
The Job
- Work across the entire GEL Data & AI solution space, designing and developing solutions.
- Collaborate with business users to understand and solve their requirements, driving business value.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers to identify and pilot use cases and develop capabilities.
- Discuss feasibility and architectural design with business teams, translating their vision into realistic technical implementation.
- Present and demonstrate solution concepts, prototypes, and final deliverables to business users.
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and machine learning models.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and meetings to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Optimize model performance, ensuring scalability, security, and data integrity of data & AI solutions.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, applying new technologies and best practices.
- Mitigate business and regulatory compliance risks.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and technologies.
- Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
- High level of integrity takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
- Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
Our Requirements
- Master's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (PhD preferred).
- 5+ years of experience building data products and services in engineering positions.
- Broad knowledge of Data & AI pillars: Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI/ML.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Java/Python/R/Scala), SQL, and Big Data querying tools.
- Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with systems development life cycle, project management, and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in non-technical language.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- High level of integrity takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
- Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
