Deputy Financial Controller - Major Securities Firm

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee and manage the Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Control and Secretarial functions for the Group in the region. This involves formulating and implementing consistent accounting policies, strategies and procedures, ensuring the integrity of the financial reports and compliance with accounting standards at entity and consolidated level.

Partnering the Business, you will play a key role in strategy and planning, business performance and management as well as treasury management and capital planning. Additionally, you will lead and guide the team, increasing the team's competencies. You will lead regional project assessment, driving finance related projects, process change and improvements, with the objective of improving efficiency and meeting business growth and needs.

Requirements

You hold a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or equivalent and Professional Accounting Qualifications. You have at least 15 years of related finance and accounting experience including extensive experience in financial services, with exposure to securities/brokerage presenting an advantage. You have strong analytical and problem solving skills and a proven ability to recommend solutions to the business. Your outstanding stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to work effectively with internal stakeholders across functions, seniority and countries. You have effective team management skills and thrive in a collaborative work environment. Global tax knowledge is an advantage.
