Accounts Payable Manager, Top Commercial Bank

A top commercial bank is hiring a Manager for their Accounts Payable team under finance department.

My client is a leading financial institution in Hong Kong, is seeking an exceptional Accounts Payable Manager to join our dynamic Finance Team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor payments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations
- Supervise and mentor a team of Accounts Payable Specialists, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills
- Implement and maintain efficient accounts payable procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Analyze accounts payable data and generate detailed reports for management review
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Accounting) to resolve vendor inquiries and address any discrepancies
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices within agreed-upon terms to maintain positive vendor relationships
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes related to accounts payable management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in accounts payable management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Proficient in using accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Ability to lead and develop a team of Accounts Payable Specialists
- Hands-on experience in process improvement and automation initiative
