Here, in France within the HBCE European HUB, you will help grow our Cash Financing Solution Repo business within Markets & Securities Services.

What you are going to do:
The Cash Financing Solutions (CFS) business is a global business and is part of the Securities Financing (SF) asset class within Markets & Securities Services (MSS).
This activity offers internal and external clients secure financing as well as optimization of collateral management for margin calls and variation margins. It serves spot trading desks by borrowing short positions and funding long positions via repo, and provides liquidity to clients such as banks, financial institutions, fund managers, hedge funds and lenders of agency titles.
HSBC Continental Europe (HBCE) is the main center for € financing products.
Concretely:
- Within HBCE, the CFS Repo desk is responsible for client repo quote requests.
- Customers are external (via HSBC Group commercial counters) and internal (via HSBC Group commercial counters and directly).
- The CFS Repo desk feeds the collateral pool in the management of margin calls on initial margins (IM) and variation margins (VM).
- The CFS Repo desk also operates under mandate to quote unsecured deposits with HBCE MSS clients
Requirements

• Mastery of economic and financial mechanisms, financial products, HSBC values, internal procedures and regulations
• Solid experience in the field of sales in financial markets
• Language: English (fluency in reading, writing, speaking) - French or 2nd language preferred
• Mastery of financial IT supports (Bloomberg, Reuters)
• Essential knowledge of development in Python, SQL, Visual Basic and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
• Degrees and qualifications required in accordance with local market regulatory requirements for trading and sales activities.
• You demonstrate rigor, reliability, responsiveness and resist stress with a smile.
• You are capable of leading several projects at the same time and have good interpersonal skills
• You have an analytical mind.
