Contribute to AXA IM Alts team by managing existing clients. Expected to support day-to-day communication, reporting delivery / production process for existing clients, as well as addressing ad hoc inquiries by close communication with relevant team in both Japan and other regions.

Another role is to support RFPs / RFIs through coordination of all contributors across the company.

Client servicing relevant KPIs
  • In charge of maintaining good relationship with existing clients. Main tasks are high quality reporting production / delivery and inquiry handling in a timely manner so that team can pursue top-up and cross selling opportunities.
  • Close internal communication with other departments (investment team, MO, legal, compliance, operation) not only Tokyo office but also Europe and US. Also external business partners such as trustee, administrator of on-shore and off-shore fund.
  • In charge of quality and accuracy checking of all reports. Ensure working within a well-defined control framework (Ensure procedures are up to date and controls are in place).
  • In charge of continuous improvement of client reporting process; look for ways to improve efficiency and increase accuracy by analysing systematic issues to feedback into the production process; Liaise with colleagues in Europe and US to help harmonise processes and increase efficiencies.
RFP relevant KPIs
  • Handling RFP questionnaire responses which accurately and favourably present the organization's investment products / services.
  • Coordinate resources across the company to answer allocated RFPs (define the timeframe, identify the sources of information, establish the guidelines, follow the different steps of the RFP process to ensure high quality responses)
  • Work closely with a wide range of actors within AXA IM (sales managers, portfolio managers, product specialists etc.) to gather all relevant input and to challenge investment solutions
Your Profile

Education/Qualifications
  • Degree educated
Experience
  • Significant related experience as client service in the asset management industry especially at institutional businesses / alternative strategies in Japan.
  • Demonstrated thorough understanding of the strategic and tactical issues pertaining to product distribution within the asset management industry in Japan
  • Experience to work on RFPs.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to communicate in English with teams in other locations
  • Ability to translate English into Japanese including technical terms
  • Comprehensive knowledge of alternative investment (e.g. real estate, infrastructure, private debt, private equity, CLO, bank loan, forestry, etc.)
  • High level of computer skills, especially in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
