Control-M Level 3 Administrator:
  • Technology Group is seeking a results-driven, self-directed individual to join Northern Trust as a Lead Control-M Administrator. Control-M is a mission critical platform. The Lead Control-M L3 Administrator is responsible for keeping the Control-M platform in highly available, highly stable and running at best performance.
  • This role need to work in Global Platform Group, collaborating with System Administrators, ITSM Team, Application Team, Scheduling Team and Computer Operations Team to manage the Control-M platform and all associated functions.
  • Platform Administration - Control-M Platform Administration including Installation, Configuration, Upgrade, Troubleshooting and Management of the platform.
  • Review and suggest Control-M Upgrade path. Platform Upgrade - Upgrade Control-M Platform, Agents as per standards and process.
  • Platform Monitoring - Ensuring all critical parameters are part of monitoring. Proactive monitoring, taking proactive actions and avoiding incidents, outages.
  • Patch Management - Patching and upkeep of Control-M platform and agents
  • Platform Security - Remediate Vulnerability Incidents following vendor recommendations and best practices
  • Incident Management - Resolve all incidents within SLA
  • Major Incidents - Handle major incidents at highest priority and resolve within SLA as quickly as possible.
  • Change Management - Follow change management process to implement changes
  • Problem Management - Complete RCA and Close Problem Tickets within SLA as quickly as possible.
  • High Availability - Ensure Control-M platform is highly available. High Availability architecture is working as per design. Suggest ongoing modifications
  • Disaster Recovery - Participate in IT DR tests to support Control-M platform
  • Disaster Recovery - Perform Annual DR test of the Control-M Platform. Update DR incident in Fusion system and document all evidences.
  • Documentation - Review existing documents and update those to keep it current. Create documents, SOPs, Architecture Documents. Store documents at Confluence.
  • MFT - Support and monitor applications, file transfers, etc.
  • Collaboration - Contribute to timely completion of project deliverables.
  • On-call and Weekend Support - Work on-call and on weekend as per planned and unplanned activity schedules.
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly review of the platform and reporting
  • Audit - Participate in Audits. Creating/Showing documents, evidences. Updating Control-M platform as per audit.
  • Vendor Management - Work with BMC in managing Control-M platform effectively.
  • Vendor Management - Work with Contractors and Managed Services vendor for effective Control-M platform management.
  • Global Operating Model - Work and collaborate with Global team geographically spread in different time zones.
Must have skills:
  • Control-M administration experience as strong Level 3 administrator.
  • Experience with Control-M Tools such as MFT, API management, WCM, Application integrator.
  • Knowledge on integrations using plugins and API based connections with other infrastructure services.
  • Knowledge on Linux, Unix and Windows environment.
  • ITIL Processes and ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Control-M Platform Administration
  • BMC Control-M administration certification
  • ITIL Certification
Good to have skills:
  • Devops tools integration and Service now integration knowledge will be an added advantage.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Network Technologies.
  • Exposure in automation & programming through UNIX shell scripting, Python or any other scripting language
