We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Finance Data Manager .

Principal responsibilities
  • Plan, execute and manage BCBS 239 Compliance Standard Program for risk metrics including Foundation, Reporting and Data Standards requirements.
  • Implement Data Sourcing and Management controls for regulatory reports of HKMA.
  • Develop and maintain the data management related documentation for Business Data Elements such as data dictionaries, data lineages, trusted sources assessment and data quality controls.
  • Work with process owners and IT for the data quality rules implementation on Finance Systems and End User Computing.
  • Investigate and remedy data quality issues and process failures.
  • Coordinate with various Finance teams in Group / Region / countries, DAO, IT teams and other GB/GFs for data management initiatives.
  • Facilitate the audit's fieldworks and regular HKMA's enquiries.
  • Conduct the Data Risk Assessment of Finance
  • Perform the BaU works for BCBS 239 and data policies i.e Data Storage, Data Privacy, Data Access and Ownership Management
  • Develop and maintain the operational instructions for the data BaU operations.
  • Prepare and update the data initiatives progress in various ASP and Local data forums and Data RCMM.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties related to data management
  • University degree in Business Admin, Accounting & Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years' experience in banking and finance areas with IT background.
  • Experience to work in IT and Data related projects.
  • Good understanding of data-related issues and its implication to financial reporting in a Bank.
  • Good knowledge in finance reporting, finance systems and data processes are in advantages.
  • Strong BA/project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail with ability to understand and assess complex and large volumes of information.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with ability to build and maintain relationships.
