  • Extensive experience in procurement or supplier governance, ideally within a financial institution
  • Proven experience dealing with high performing supplier functions and comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Team leadership, ideally in building maturity in a developing team
  • History of balancing business drivers and management of risk in a complex environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement controls, processes, procedures, and systems
  • Deep understanding of APRA prudential standards CPS 231 and CPS 234, CPS230 ideal

The Enterprise Procurement function is part of the Finance Division and is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process including supplier governance, sourcing, negotiation, contract and vendor management, as well as overseeing the purchasing operations of the bank.

This is a new senior role within Enterprise Procurement, leading both Bendigo Bank's Supplier Governance team and acting as a product owner and for the third-party transformation workstream in support of CPS230. There will be leadership responsibilities of a small team, and will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing the uplift and required to meet service provide risk management requirements under CPS230, and other future regulatory requirements, as they impact third and fourth party Service Providers
  • Leading the transformation and embedding of appropriate supplier governance across the bank and related parties
  • Leading the revision of governance assessments and process controls
  • Working collaboratively across the team to achieve effective and consistent delivery of holistic solutions to a range of internal stakeholders and external customers to ensure Bendigo and Adelaide Bank is well supported in managing its supplier process.
