Position Summary:

LSEG Technology brings together our product development, operations, digital and business technology, cyber security, architecture, and technology program management groups.

BSL is a Bank of England (BoE) regulated entity and went live on 1 January 2016 as LSEG's shared services company with an aim to centralise services where cost synergies and improved quality could be achieved by doing so. A framework was established to enable HLSEG regulated entities to source shared services from BSL.

The role supports the Technology BSL business and target entities to ensure finance strategy is delivered through robust budget and forecasts with insightful analysis for decision making. The successful candidate should have proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and collaborate across business and finance teams to provide robust, value-added insight.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
  • FP&A - Support budget planning and forecasting process to define strategy, priorities and technology spend profiles. Quantify risks and opportunities providing insightful analysis to business leaders to enable decision making.
  • Business partnering - Provide support to the Technology BSL Leadership team as well as Entity Boards providing key insight and support to help understand the allocated P&Ls and entity recharges to help drive business performance.
  • Financial Management and Reporting - Conduct value-add reporting on the business cost base and associated allocated and recharge costs. Assist reporting strategy and input into KPIs to be consumed by the BSL Leadership team, finance, and Entity Boards.
  • Drive process improvement - Enhance tracking, recognition, and communication of BSL Tech Budget, Actuals and Forecast as well as build an operating rhythm ensuring collaboration with finance, BSL Leadership team and Entity Boards.

Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies:
  • Substantial amount of experience in a Finance role, preferably within Technology environment
  • Proficiency in working effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, global business environment.
  • Work effectively in teams and across functions of the business, influencing stakeholders
  • Able to convey complex financial information to both finance and non-finance partners.
  • Demonstrate strong customer-focus with a commercial mindset, communication and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resource
  • Expert level with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Education/ Certifications:
  • Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. MBA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
