We are currently looking for candidates with experience in private equity investment valuations to joining one of the largest investment managers in the Middle East. This role would be ideal for candidates with significant valuations experience at big 4 or, private equity funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Valuations:
    • Conducting comprehensive valuations of private equity investments.
    • Oversee the preparation of detailed valuation reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in valuation methodologies.
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Analyse and evaluate the financial performance of portfolio companies.
    • Develop and implement valuation models for new investments and existing portfolio companies.
    • Collaborate with portfolio managers to provide strategic insights based on valuation analysis.
  • Investment Analysis:
    • Conduct due diligence and financial analysis for potential investments.
    • Provide valuation support for M&A activities, including buy-side and sell-side transactions.
    • Work closely with deal teams to assess the financial impact of investment opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Present valuation findings to senior management, investment committees, and external auditors.
    • Communicate complex valuation concepts clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Maintain strong relationships with external advisors, including valuation consultants and auditors.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to valuations.
    • Oversee the preparation of valuation-related disclosures for financial reporting purposes.
    • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes that may impact valuation practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in private equity valuations in big 4, or private equity firms.
    • Proven track record of core valuation experience.
    • Strong understanding of financial modelling, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis.
  • Attributes:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
