Location: Pittsford, NY (Hybrid position)

What does a Resource Recovery Assistant Manager do?

Responsible for managing the Resource Recovery Counselors in order to effectively collect past-due loans and to maximize the recovery of financial resources related to problem loan accounts; implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the department; organizing the work, activities, and human resources of the department; directly supervising assigned personnel; communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel; providing periodic reports.

What is needed to be successful in this role?
  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in a field related to banking or equivalent normally required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in related positions normally required.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with a PC and associated programs (such as Microsoft Office)

What are the main responsibilities in this position?
  1. Manages the Resource Recovery Counselors to effectively collect past-due indirect, direct, and chexmate loans and to maximize the recovery of financial resources related to problem loan accounts
  2. Directly supervises this team to monitor the status of delinquent loans and to ensure that holders of delinquent accounts are contacted.
  3. Develops, with Resource Recovery Manager, resource recovery strategies.
  4. Analyzes difficult and complex loans to determine the most effective method for maximizing financial recovery and establishes an action plan for collection.
  5. Organizes the work and activities of the Resource Recovery Department to achieve established goals; monitors the efficiency and performance of the department versus established standards.
  6. Directly supervises staff within the department.

Compensation range- $30.00-$32.00
The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
