Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for the group and parent company
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results
  • Manage deliverables from outsourced shared service providers for financial transaction processing and support
  • Advise the business on the impact of new policies and regulations on accounting treatments
  • Provide guidance on financial and operational planning, budgeting, and forecasting systems and processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to offer solutions for complex organizational and operational issues, as well as compliance with local jurisdictions
  • Present financial and operational analyses to provide performance insights and support business decision-making
  • Maintain budgets, forecasts, and actual data for the Group Office
  • Offer high-quality support during business reviews, forecasts, and other ad-hoc meetings
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations on performance implications
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, guidelines, and statutory requirements
  • Fulfill local reporting obligations (e.g., audit, tax, corporate secretarial)

Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting from general insurance companies
  • Qualified accountant with excellent IFRS technical skills
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in general insurance financial reporting, with preference for reinsurance industry experience
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, execution, and project management skills, coupled with sound financial acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder management, verbal, and written communication abilities across all levels
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough understanding of local regulations, tax, and accounting standards
  • Familiarity with accounting systems, with experience in Oracle as an advantage
  • Fluency in oral and written English, and conversational Cantonese
