An opportunity has arisen within a leading international financial institution for a proactive and detail-oriented Vice President in Financial Reporting Risk Oversight. This integral role will drive operational excellence in financial reporting across a range of legal entities and will provide invaluable strategic advisory to Risk Owners and Control Owners.

Position Overview

As the Vice President for Financial Reporting Risk Oversight, your guidance will ensure the organisation's financial control and reporting systems remain robust and in line with all governance and compliance requirements. Your ability to anticipate, understand and manage emerging risk will be critical, as will your commitment to continuous monitoring, risk appetite setting and assurance planning. You will report on the risk and control profile, providing a forward-thinking approach that considers external environmental shifts, emerging risks, and strategy adjustments.

Responsibilities
  • Providing expert advice and effective challenge to Process, Risk and Control Owners
  • Monitoring compliance with an array of clear policies outlining minimum risk management requirements
  • Collaborating closely with business and functional teams to understand and manage the effects of emerging risk
  • Supporting the conception and maintenance of the Risk and Control Library
  • Reviewing and challenging Risk and Control Owners on risk management, particularly control efficiency ratings and issue resolution
Requirements
  • Demonstrable drive, commitment, and focus on operational excellence
  • Relevant Finance and Control experience across multiple legal entities
  • Detailed understanding of the Finance operating model at Group, Business, and Country levels
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing people and end-to-end processes
  • Expert knowledge of Financial Reporting and Tax Risk compliance procedures
  • Solid interpersonal and negotiation abilities
