Accounts/Payroll All-rounder role on the Gold Coast! Your new company
Our client is a non-for-profit organisation on the Gold Coast, proving their excellence with clients and providing outstanding quality service. With calculated and rapid growth and a long-term strategy in place, they require an experienced Accounts and Payroll Officer to join the team. Your new role
The role of the Accounts and Payroll Officer, reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the full payroll function, payroll administration and the upkeep of payroll data. Your primary focus will be ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee payroll. Processing numerous payrolls for many employees, you will need to respond to payroll queries within our agreed service levels, along with responsibility for calculating pay increases, back pay and processing leave reconciliations. Additionally, you will be managing the invoices and accounts payable and receivable functions such as recording accounting entries for financial transactions, reconciliation of sales and working on end of month entries, checking and review of weekly supplier payments, preparing end of month financial reports, as well as any ad hoc administration as required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have proven experience operating as an Accounts and Payroll Officer within a fast-paced, busy team. You will need to have excellent relationship-building skills, be motivated, and have great knowledge of EBA's. Additionally, you will have the ability to problem-solve, meet tight deadlines, work independently or as part of a team and demonstrate advanced skills in Excel and accounting software. Knowledge of NetSuite and MYOB software is highly desirable.
