How will I help?

As the National General Manager, Working Capital you will join the Commercial Banking Senior Leadership Team overseeing the Working Capital frontline team which consists of Transactional Banking, Trade Finance and Invoice Finance. The objectives of the role will be to drive balance sheet growth, customer growth, customer advocacy, increased capability of bankers, strong working capital referral activity and team engagement.

You will also shape the working capital and cashflow customer proposition, strategy and banker footprint as well as advise on the design, recommendations and the origination and distribution of Business & Wealth Division's cash and transactional banking products and services and Merchant Payment products and services chains.

With a risk mindset, you will also support the delivery of customer outcomes in accordance with frameworks, policies and regulations to uphold the prudential reputation of the Group and Risk Management of the Westpac Group Invoice Finance and Trade Finance lending portfolio.

What do I need?

You are a seasoned and highly capable leader who is energetic, passionate and collaborative in driving positive outcomes for customers and the bank. To be set up for success, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of Working Capital products and Cashflow Lending through either proven success in leading Commercial Banking sales teams or a Commercial Lending Specialist teams with either a Transaction Banking or Trade Finance/Invoice Finance focus.

Your relationship management, influencing and stakeholder engagement capability will be high applicable to the success of this role. With a purpose driven mindset, you will have the ability to provide concise and effective recommendations to peers and Executive Leaders to improve business performance.
