Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) manages the financial needs of corporate, institutional and government clients that are based, or have interests in, Australia and New Zealand. Within WIB is the Non-Bank Financial Institutions team (NBFI), whose objectives are to achieve high levels of year-on-year growth and optimal return on equity, by developing, managing, and deepening the relationship with a portfolio of private and publicly listed clients.

As a Senior Associate within NBFI you will be responsible for supporting the coverage bankers drive of strategic engagement and pro-active, advice-led business origination with Westpac's key institutional clients. You will be a core member of the deal teams marketing and implementing a wide range of institutional banking products and services. You will also be responsible for the safe operation of the health coverage team by making sure that all reporting and processes are successfully implemented.

Core responsibilities include:
  • Coordination and delivery of written industry strategies including related research and analysis, as well as industry deep dive analysis and financial analysis
  • Coordinating the professional delivery of tailored financial and transactional solutions for customers
  • Coordinating communication to customers such as responses to Requests for Proposals ('RFP') and delivery of Expressions of Interest
  • Supporting the development of customer relationships and attendance of customer meetings
  • Acting as interface with the customer for client service matters
  • Preparing and coordinating pricing approvals using DealPoint, Credit Connect and Qlikview systems
  • Preparing and coordinating internal and external account planning, revenue reporting, forecasts
  • Effective engagement of key stakeholders across risk, product, business development, Customer Insights and Analytics and group segments

You will work closely with the Directors and Executive Directors on the team and you will also liaise with the Head of Structured Finance, Head of Corporate Loans, other LOB Product Managers, Risk, Sustainability, Finance, and key client stakeholders. To be successful in the role you will be a confident and competent individual who has demonstrated success in a fast paced, team-based environment. You will also have a high commercial acumen and can apply your corporate financing knowledge.
