DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to be assisting a successful privately held Luxembourg holding company with the recruitment of an Accountant responsible for assisting the Finance Department with various day-to-day accounting tasks.
The Accountant will assist in managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to start their career in accounting and finance, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Reporting to the Head office, you will carry out the following tasks:

-Assist in processing and verifying invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
-Help prepare and execute payment runs, including wire transfers and electronic payments.
-Assist in reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
-Maintain and update vendor files, including contact information and payment terms.
-Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve payment inquiries and issues.
-Support month-end closing activities, including preparing basic accounts payable reports.
-Monitor and manage accounts payable aging reports, ensuring timely payments to vendors.
-Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls and procedures.
-Provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
-Stay updated on basic industry practices and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.

-Holder of a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field..
-Has a first experience of up to 3 years in accounts payable or a similar role (internships and part-time work considered).
-Good knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
-Basic Tax knowledge is a plus.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , with particular emphasis on Excel.
-A previous exposure on Xflow and the reporting tool Dynamics are a real plus.
-Discretion, commitment, flexibility, good interpersonal skills and reactivity.
- Fluent in French & English. Dutch is a plus.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
-Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
