The IT Resiliency Team is dedicated to ensuring the resilience and continuity of our operations in the face of unforeseen disasters. The IT Resiliency team manages the execution and oversight of the Disaster Recovery program across multiple functions. We are currently seeking a Principal (Vice President) for the Point in Time Recovery (PITR) program to join our team and play a vital role in safeguarding our business operations against various disruptions.

Job Summary:

The Principal, VP for the Point in Time Recovery will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our disaster recovery programs. Your expertise will be critical in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate the impact of disasters. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our business remains secure and resilient in the event of any unforeseen disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans, including risk assessments, continuity strategies, and response procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments to evaluate their impact on business operations.
  • Disaster Recovery Testing: Plan, execute, and evaluate regular disaster recovery exercises to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans and make necessary adjustments.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with IT, security, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment between disaster recovery and security strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and incident response protocols.
  • Incident Response: Lead disaster recovery efforts in the event of a disruption, coordinating the response and recovery activities.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and provide training to employees on disaster recovery and business continuity procedures to enhance preparedness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving threats to continually improve disaster recovery capabilities.
Communications & Coordination
  • Own, orchestrate, and maintain the comprehensive communications related to the Resiliency Team program.
  • Establish and maintain the communications related to Disaster Recovery events through various channels.
  • Deliver communications and reporting to internal management, stakeholders on program efforts, through various media including status reports and presentations
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, including department heads, executives, and external vendors, to relay recovery progress and updates.
  • Coordinate training and awareness to communications to ensure that all partners understand their roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborates closely with teams participating in strategic planning, facilitating cross-team solution reviews, and communicating strategy direction.
  • Maintains an effective technical network across technical SMEs and architects for multiple service areas
Presentations and plan, content creation for DR events !
  • Develop effective presentations for strategy and approach for management and stakeholders.
  • Creation and delivery of information/plans should be convincing and professional, with use of pivots, charts, graphics to support the content/message.
  • Ability to create presentations to various stakeholders like application owners and infrastructure managers.
  • Ability to convert data and historic information into convincing information using presentations and charts.
  • Effectively deliver content, adjusting tone to the target audience in timely manner.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Certification such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or equivalent is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Financial or Regulatory domain experience a plus
  • Proven experience of working in a global organization distributed across countries and time zones such as APAC, EMEA and US, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity planning and point in time recovery planning and execution.
  • Practical experience operating in an Agile development environment
  • Experience in coordinating and leading disaster recovery exercises and response efforts.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery plans and point in time recovery.
