This role is hybrid and requires incumbent to be onsite in our Chicago office 3 days a week, with flexibility.

The Product Launch team within CME Group leverages in-depth market knowledge along with product testing experience to help manage end to end execution of all new product ideas. Our mission is to develop, enhance, and operationalize a streamlined capability to deliver on product strategy, while implementing business needs across BLM, R&PD, Fees, CD&S, and Technology. We are seeking a Senior Product Business Analyst who will contribute to the continued success of ensuring operational and technical readiness, proactively respond to unexpected business challenges, and continually seek out opportunities to further streamline and operationalize product execution in one cohesive team framework.

In addition, the Senior Analyst will assist in the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and related key performance measures, driving results by refining overall value while enhancing product launch capacity and reducing time to market. Incumbent will demonstrate excellent analytical and technical skills with a drive for success.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders spanning across multiple divisions, including but not limited to, Clearing, Global Operations, Products & Services, Transformation & Execution, and Technology.
  • Identify new product risks and propose technical solutions to create efficiencies.
  • Build new products within our Clearing and Globex systems.
  • Develop and execute test scenarios with little oversight.
  • Create and maintain test artifacts and facilitate artifact reviews across BLM and Technology.
  • Assist in the deployment of new products into customer facing environments.
  • Participate in the UAT of new products in Production ensuring a defect free production launch.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to business needs including managing multiple projects.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation related to data systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise during crunch time and provide support when there is a significant demand on the team.

Skills & Software Requirements:
  • Experience in the Financial Industry is preferred
  • Must have experience with SQL and Linux/UNIX - able to write and execute basic or complex queries
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Python and JavaScript
  • Experience with FIX messaging protocol(s).
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience in influencing cross functional teams
  • Strong business analysis skills including the ability to articulate customer requirements in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong understanding of and ability to articulate technical/non-functional product requirements
  • Experience with Test Automation as well as manual testing
  • Able to solve QA environment troubleshooting problems with logical thinking
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks and POD model

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related discipline is required; or equivalent combination of education and relevant proven work experience that is required for the specific job level.
