The Insights team provide timely analysis and insights which empower our staff, customers and partners to make informed decisions. The team also plays an important role in building and supporting the profile of Agri Bank in partnership with the engagement team and our front-line commodity experts.

About the role:

Newly created role in Business and Agri Banking division for Head of Govt & Insights!

The Head of Government & Insights will work collaboratively with the Business & Agribusiness Leadership team and stakeholders from across the Group to deliver customer outcomes.

The role oversees the functions responsible for fulfilling customer applications across State and Federal Government Support Programs, translating strategy into clear business plans and priorities, successfully engaging key stakeholders, delivering business improvement initiatives, and measuring and communicating progress and achievements.

Lead the Insights team, which oversees of leveraging and extending our relationships with subscribers, banking customers, industry, and corporate partners to produce commercial results. This team is involved in industry affairs and represents the Bank on contemporary agricultural and business issues through the media, events, and industry conferences.

We are seeking someone with the desired skills and experience for the role:
  • Build and manage relationships with external stakeholder relationships with industry bodies, farmer and business associations, and the government.
  • Create and manage partnerships with all important stakeholders across the Group, including distribution partners and other external stakeholders.
  • Present at stakeholder and customer forums, hold the position of responsible manager on the Australian Financial Services Licence that is utilized by Pro-Farmer and ACF, and provide guidance on Agri derived products.
  • Research and propose new information product enhancements based on market and customer data.
  • Maximise development potential, the Bank maintains strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders from all segments, including retail, credit risk, broker, specialist products, and local business communities.
  • Proactively monitor procedures to ensure that risk-loss events or non-compliance incidents are discovered, addressed, and escalated on time.

This is a full-time position, based in Melbourne, Bendigo or Adelaide. Hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today with a minimum 3 days working from the office. Flexible work options are also available. This role will require regular travel to stakeholders, customers and business centres across the regions.

To be successful you will have:
  • Extensive experience in dealing with media and maintaining external stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in designing and evolving the Customer Value Proposition and delivering insights and other products to frontline teams for execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in banking and finance, research and government relations.
  • Experience in the agribusiness and business sectors.
  • Proven experience in providing valuable market and/or channel insights to inform business strategy
