This role is based in Bangalore Banking & Markets O & A team. The team provides operational support to Northern Trust's clients and helps Securities Lending Department with key reports to perform their operation. The primary responsibility of this Senior Analyst is to support SF set up function, MIS Reporting, Borrower Billing, Reconciliations and Sponsored Repo Counterparty Setup within SF O & A team and assist other partners. The Senior Analyst will report to the Securities Lending Team Leader and assist TC's with enhancing the team knowledge levels, expertise and maximising the effectiveness of the team. The role requires close relationship with Account Managers and other operation teams across locations. It also involves close liaison with other internal partner areas such as SF Trade Support, SF CDL and Global reconciliation teams.

Graduate from Commerce discipline
Minimum 2 Years of experience as an Analyst (Please mention if previous work experience is relevant to Financial Services Industry)
Candidate having relevant experience and background with Securities Operations would be preferred.
Prior experience in Static Data Set-up would be an added advantage
Should have a minimum rating of Valued Performance or higher in the previous ARC.
Must be flexible to work in NA shifts ( 5:30 PM or 6:30 PM IST)

Comprehensive understanding of the Securities Lending business.
Should have general awareness of market wide risk and compliance policies such as AML Information Security, BCP etc.
Ability to understand & comprehend risks associated with the Securities Lending domain and the implications on operations.
Knowledge on systems used such as GSL,IMS, Fund master, TLM, SWIFT, WCM, Intranet reporting, etc. would be an advantage.
Financial knowledge on domestic and International markets would be an advantage.
End to End understanding of Securities Lending is preferred/added advantage.

Should be able to understand organizational & divisional goals, strategies and should be able to help connect to the team's performance in achieving the same
Ensure that the SLA / KPIs are being adhered and reported in a timely manner
Timely updating of process related documentation
Responsible for allocation of work to the team and other day-to-day process related responsibilities
Organizes the work of the team, assigns tasks, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activities and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work
Maintain technical knowledge of operations in order to resolve unusual and complex exceptions. The role demands working with borrowers, agents, trading desk, middle office and support teams to resolve complex issues and ensure timely resolution within available timeframe. Timely resolution to DSM / Email queries
Work with the Technical Coordinator/Team Leader to test internal controls within O & A Team and report accordingly.
Adhere to the existing controls and continuous review of the process to implement additional controls to mitigate risk.
Should be in a position to maintain extremely high accuracy levels for self/team.
Displays extremely high ownership for the process. Steps up and makes effective decisions wherever and whenever required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Team members, Middle Office and Borrowers, Agents, and trading desk
Acts as a back-up for the Technical Coordinator and also contributes to all desks in O&A.
