SPV Accountant £70000 - £85000 9 month Maternity Cover Contract Hybrid working model - 4 DAYS IN THE OFFICE

About the company
A growing private equity real estate company business ($4bn AUM) has an opportunity for an experienced SPV accountant for a 9 month contract who can hit the ground running. You will lead the monthly financial reporting of multiple SPV companies and consolidated accounts for parent companies.

Experience & Skills Required
  • Qualified accountant with excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven "hands on" experience of accounting and reporting for Special Purpose Vehicles companies.
  • Strong eye for detail and accuracy and able to work to strict deadlines.
  • Experience of dealing with auditors, trustees.
  • Ensuring all filings deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ideally exposure to securitisation and restructuring but not an essential.

The Role
Working within a highly dynamic professional team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading monthly, quarterly and year end reporting and statutory accounts for SPV companies and review of consolidations by parent company
  • Providing financial accounting expertise to the finance team
  • Reviewing month end accounting adjustments (provisioning, accruals, FX etc) and ensuring that all reconciliations are completed accurately
  • Ensuring Control Sheet and Balance Sheet Reconciliations are maintained and reconciled monthly
  • Preparation of the audit schedules and liaison with auditors
  • Liaison with the SPV trustees to ensure they concur with policies used in the accounts and that they review the accounts prior to signing
  • Liaison with advisors to ensure Corporate Tax returns are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
  • Ensuring information for Regulatory Returns are prepared and submitted to the client in a timely manner
  • Leading process improvements to streamline monthly close and reporting process
  • Manage and ensure recharges to SPVs and projects are timely and accurately reported.
