Who we are looking for
Transfer Agency Japan offers client service for Asset Managers and Investors locate d in Japan, liaising with the Transfer Agency team s in State Street Ireland and IFDS Ireland, to provide Investor & Distributor Services, Dealing Services and Registration services. As an Associate, you will be delivering high quality client service both internally and externally by incorporating experience and industry knowledge in daily workflow so as to complete complex tasks on time and accurately . You will have strong communication skills to liaise directly with clients via email and phone in Japanese.

What you will be responsible for
As a Transfer Agency Administrator, Associate 2, you will
  • Complete tasks including the handling of all complex calls and queries, to a high quality, to meet client requirements in a timely and accurate manner
  • Quality control of transactions processed and client correspondence
  • Handle queries of clients orders, distributions, deliverables, cash settlements, and account opening
  • Ensure business standards and client deadlines are met on a consistent basis
  • Escalate client issues where necessary
  • Ensure that procedures, policies and processes are adhered to so that a high quality service is delivered to the customer. Propose and/or implement procedural changes to improve performance of the team or of related business areas

  • Excellent communication skills both in Japanese and English, for written and verbal. JSDA1 license holder preferred

  • Show willingness to assume additional tasks in order to share workload within team/department

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent administrative and business support skills, with the ability to multi-task and to work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational, planning and co-ordination skills
  • Experience in client servicing is preferred
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detailed understanding of procedural, technical and product requirements within Transfer Agency business
  • Working knowledge of Custody/Banking/Asset Management area
  • Typically candidate will have 2 years relevant experience within a similar environment
