The Opportunity
Nexia Sydney is expanding, and we are looking to bring on a new external Audit Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior Audit Manager professional looking to take the next step in their career.

This role has a focus on technical audit accounting where you will be working closely with the Associate Director & Partners. The successful candidate will be joining a team culture where open conversations, a desire to learn and develop will ensure a great future and career at Nexia.

The Role
  • Identify and address technical audit issues
  • Plan audit assignments and coordinate training & development
  • Manage multiple engagements at the same time
  • Finalise and review audits at a high quality for Director review
  • Identify risks in audit, engagement, litigation and ethics in a changing environment
  • Actively participate and support Directors in the conduct of:
    • o Tenders
    • o Special assignments and reports
    • o Practice development
    • o International matters

About You
  • Mid-tier experience as an external Audit Supervisor or Manager
  • Qualified degree and CA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Expert professional and technical skills
  • Exposure to a variety of industries
  • Ability to coach and lead, pass knowledge onto others
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel and system experience with APS; Caseware skill is preferred
  • Ability to build long lasting relationships with clients
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to challenge ideas
  • Good time management skills and ability to maximise productivity
