COEX Partners is an Agency Execution broker that gives institutional clients a 360-degree coverage across a comprehensive product portfolio. As well as generating trading ideas for our clients, we help structure, execute and monitor their positions by providing support across the entire trade lifecycle - from Trade Selection through to Post Trade Reporting.

We are growing rapidly by providing a global offering in markets for highly accessible, widely traded financial assets. COEX Partners specializes in exchange traded derivatives across asset class; Complex FX structuring, Cleared Interest Rate Swaps, Relative Value Solutions, and Equity Derivatives. Through our Agency Execution model we enable our clients to operate in the market anonymously and access aggregated liquidity at best pricing.

Job duties:

To provide Business Management for the COEX Division and support the CEO of COEX and the COO office in the day-to-day governance and growth initiatives for the division

Key Accountabilities

Strategic/Commercial
  • Assist in strategically driving growth and profitability via new business areas, client channels and operational synergies whilst ensuring operation within TP ICAP's control framework
  • Provide support to the CEO and COO in the day to day running of the COEX Division
  • Assist in the development and delivery of the COEX strategy; work with the US teams to validate new initiatives and agree US prioritisation
  • Produce business performance updates, strategy and board papers for various forums including Town Halls, business line Operating Committees, Global Executive Committee, TP ICAP Group Executive Committee, and TP ICAP Group's Board of Directors
  • Keep up to date on knowledge of the ever-changing regulatory environment; to include analysing the impact of changes on the businesses and informing Senior Management of expected impact, making suggestions to optimise business performance where relevant.
  • Identify best practices and improve internal systems with an eye toward future needs and budget realities; align operational models as appropriate, for greater cost and operational efficiency
  • Oversee the implementation and provide input to any New Business Initiatives and Business change projects, liaising with the relevant support areas where necessary.
  • Ensure effective co-ordination and communication across all operational, control, assurance and advisory functions
  • Lead cross-functional deal teams in due diligence, financial analysis, and negotiation with new desk targets
  • Monitor progress of desk performance post-integration to ensure ongoing success and report metrics and recommended actions to management
External Relationships
  • Monitor performance of the US business and strive to keep up to date with the regional competitor landscape
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with key external stakeholders to secure and expand strategic opportunities and recurring revenue streams
  • Act as a statesman publicly representing the Company to external constituency groups including joint venture partners, regulators, governmental, and other private organisations
  • Manage due diligence process for any new business opportunities
Infrastructure, Process, Regulation & Control
  • Representing US Front office in regulatory and group projects. Acting as the US liaison as required between functions including: Compliance, Legal, Finance Risk, HR, Change Management, IT in Regulatory change projects and Corporate Restructuring
  • Ensure Business Execution compliance with internal and external Governance, Regulatory and Control requirements
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Core Infrastructure, Brokers and Senior Management
  • Partner with control functions i.e. Compliance to ensure Conflicts registers and other Regulatory requirements are up to date
  • Provide support in ensuring the business meets its 1st Line of Defence role and its responsibilities under the Risk Framework.
  • Contribute to the development of all Group policies and product protocols, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose, understood and implemented where applicable, communicating and training the front office when required
  • Work with the Business Continuity specialist to ensure that a full Business Continuity Plan (BCP) is drawn up for the respective business to cover technology / staff in the event of an incident/disaster
  • Continually review operational processes, highlight efficiencies needed and work with the relevant teams to implement changes
  • Contribute as required to all Regulatory documentation
  • Update COO on issues/opportunities pertinent to specific area(s) covered
  • Produce benefits realisation on projects delivered.

Knowledge/ Experience
  • A strong understanding of financial markets
  • Prior relevant experience in Business Operations, Analytics, Management Consulting and Product Management
  • Experience in corporate strategy formulation and effective communication through board-level presentation and memos
  • Proven self-starter able to work under minimal supervision with a delivery focused and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of large-scale programme management within Financial Services
  • Proven understanding of Regulation impacting the Financial services market
  • Experience of working with governance frameworks
Skills/ Competences
  • Ability to work with leadership and key stakeholders to define roadmaps, business plans and key performance indicators (KPIs) ensuring plans are accurately scoped and under-pinned by a resource/hiring plan
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a persuasive and passionate communicator with ability to influence and engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a pro-active approach
  • Use of data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making
  • Action orientated, flexible and innovative approach to operational management

Salary Range: $150k - $225k
