Job Purpose

You will be part of a team to carry out Operational Risk Management functions and to ensure effective implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework to all entities within the Great Eastern Group.

The Job

• Responsible to manage the rollout of the third party risk management program across the group and ensuring material risks are escalated to the appropriate management or board forums timely;
• Responsible for the central monitoring and tracking on the third party arrangements;
• Oversight on the annual review of the groupwide third party arrangements and ensure that key highlights and trends are summarized and presented to the various forums;
• Partnering with subject matter experts which include Information Security Lead, Legal and Technology Risk partners to enhance and develop risk management strategies, controls and documentation to manage the third party related risks;
• Provide advice, independent review and effective challenge to business units to ensure third party risks are adequately managed in the business as usual activities as well as new projects;
• Support the preparation of ad-hoc group wide reports submission to internal stakeholders or regulators where required;
• Conduct presentations and trainings on ORM processes to risk coordinators and local risk management team;
• Responsible to review the Group Risk Management Governance frameworks and policies for approval by Board Risk Committee and to ensure that the approved frameworks and policies are implemented across the Group;
• Provide operational risk management support to local Risk Management;
• Support the preparation of the Board and Management Risk Meetings;
• Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities as directed from time to time;

• Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks;
• Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company; and
• Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

• Bachelor Degree, with at least 8 years of working experience in Financial industry, Operational Risk Management, Third party risk management or Audit;
• Strong knowledge of risk management or governance;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Able to work independently and collaboratively;
• Able to multitask and work under pressure;
• Proactive, resourceful and able to handle difficult situations;
• Possesses good analytical and problem solving skills;
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork; and
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
