Full Time
We are a discretionary, event-driven proprietary trading firm and hedge fund specialized in the digital asset space. Our edge comes from:
  • Deep research on market-moving events.
  • Speed in responding to events.
  • On-chain monitoring and analysis.

We have performed extraordinarily well since inception 1.5 years ago: 9 figure AUM with 1,200%+ return vs 87.5% for BTC and Sharpe of 3.5+ vs BTC at 1.0.

We've grown to a team of ~20 across Trading & Research, Tech, and Operations. We're seeking a Fund Operations Associate with at least 1-2 years of accounting experience who:
  • (~80%) Supports various aspects of fund operations and vendor communications (especially our fund administrator). There will many accounting tasks (reconciliation, reporting, expense processing, bank runs).
  • (~20%) Supports various aspects of investor relations (new investor onboarding/KYC, fielding basic questions, preparing and sending routine reports).

This is an opportunity for a relatively new graduate (likely 1-2 years of experience, but up to 5 YOE accepted):
  • To be exposed to a wide variety of tasks across a hedge fund's operations and back-office. If you're interested in a career at a hedge fund, this is an ideal place to start.
  • To learn faster than at many other places -- we will be giving you a wide variety of challenging tasks, and you can expect an accelerated career progression.
  • To get in on the ground floor of a successful and rapidly growing team. There will be advancement opportunities as we continue to expand.

Our Requirements

The following are the most important non-negotiable requirements for this role:
  • You must have at least 1-2 years of experience in accounting (Big 4 audit, fund administration, or fund audit preferred) with knowledge of the basics of financial markets.
  • You must have strong interpersonal skills and discretion, as you will deal with routine requests from our investors.
  • You must be extremely detail oriented. For example, we expect zero spelling or formatting errors in your work.

We also expect the following as necessities for this role:
  • This role is based out of our Taipei Xinyi office and you will be expected to come into the office 5 days per week.
  • You must be fluent in both English and Chinese as you will be dealing with external counterparties in both languages.

These are bonuses that would make you more attractive to us, but are not strict requirements, as we can teach the right candidate:
  • Experience with hedge fund accounting or hedge fund operations.
  • Knowledge of fund structures, legal documents, and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience with investor relations or client servicing.
  • Experience with cryptocurrencies.

Interview Process

After you apply, you can expect the following interview process:
  1. CV Screening - Against the criteria above.
  2. Recruiter Call - An overview of the company and role with some basic technical questions asked.
  3. First Interview (Fund Accounting) - Focused on testing your accounting knowledge while also screening for cultural fit.
  4. Second Interview (Investor Relations) - Focused on testing your interpersonal skills while also screening for cultural fit.
  5. There may be a final interview with one of our partners, depending on our discretion.

You must speak Mandarin and this role requires you to relocate to Taiwan and physically be in our Taiwan office. Please specify you have read this sentence in your application.

To increase your chance of entering our interview process, please write to with:
  1. A copy of your CV and cover letter. Together, they must present an example of both your English and Chinese written communication skills.
  2. How do you meet the 3 most important criteria outlined in our job description?
  3. What role does a fund accountant play for a hedge fund?
  4. What interests you most about this role?

If you do not have a background in hedge funds, we highly suggest you prepare for the interview process by researching hedge fund operations, fund accounting, hedge fund structures, and hedge fund investor relations.

Throughout the process, you'll be assessed for cultural fit through our company values:
  1. Drive - We believe the best team members are passionate about what they do, and that propels them to greater heights in their career. It drives them to be part of the best teams where they are exposed to the best ideas.
  2. Ownership - We aim to give ownership interest to as many people in the firm as possible, but in return, we expect everyone to act like owners. "Not my responsibility" is a repugnant phrase to us.
  3. Judgement - We look for team members who consistently look at the big picture and spend their time on the activities that most drive PnL. They are pragmatic with their time; they don't stick to their narrow domain if it doesn't move the needle.
  4. Openness - We want a culture where we proactively share information with one another and challenge each other with constructive debate to reach the truth.
  5. Competence - We value people with high intellectual horsepower. They have already become an expert in one or more domains and learn extremely quickly when in unfamiliar territory.
