Job Purpose

This role manages a team to contribute to Group Insurance business growth through Agency distribution channel.

The Job

• Responsible for Agency new business and retention financial targets
• Manages and mentor team on channel management
• Participate in business planning and initiatives
• Develop distribution and engagement strategy specific to agency channel
• Ensure the team meet the services level commitments to channel partners and clients. KPIs for service level are incorporate in performance review.
• Establish strong working relationship with cluster heads and intermediaries
• Review and approval of new business/renewal pricing and terms according to authority granted.
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver business goals and targets
• Lead cross department projects
• As part of the leadership team, work with key stakeholders to proactively shape the organisation's culture and conduct environment that is aligned to the organization's Core Values
• Champion culture and conduct behavioral expectations within the Department/Division
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements
• Tertiary degree or diploma or equivalent industry qualifications;
• Minimum 5-10 years working experience in sales/channel management in the Employee Benefits /Group Insurance; including min. 2 years of people management skill
• CMFAS (M9, M5 & Health Insurance qualification); LOMA certification
• Basic risk management framework and local regulatory requirements
• Strong knowledge of Group Insurance, Employee Benefits program, Life and Health insurance landscape.
• Dynamic and driven to achieve business targets; and
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrates alignment with the organisation's core values through expected behaviours
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
