Reporting to the Head of Operations for Finance, the Program Execution Lead is responsible for execution of Finance business re-engineering initiatives to simplify cross-Finance operations to optimize and integrate people, process and technology. The Program Execution Lead and their team will work with business leadership and subject matter experts to define and execute re-engineering programs that achieve target state objectives and outcomes. The team will partner with Process Standardization and Resource Management for consistency and alignment with frameworks, standards and approaches across Finance Operations. They will support the wider Finance COO in driving change in process, technology, architecture, risk and controls. The Program Execution Lead will have a strategic solution mindset and as a servant leader be able to develop the vision of the Program Execution team and create a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their unique businesses and processes and identify/analyze/drive a portfolio of opportunities that simplify and optimize cross-Finance operations effectively integrating people, process and technology.
  • Develop a vision and prioritized roadmaps for business re-engineering initiatives to address pain points and create value opportunities; identify timing, outcomes, resources, and approach.
  • Form and lead cross functional teams to deliver initiatives (process, technology, SME, Finance disciplines etc.); leading planning, direction and coordination of day-to-day delivery activities.
  • Define common capabilities across Finance disciplines that align with Citi's Enterprise Architecture Methodology to create a structured approach to plan, communicate and manage integrated people, projects and technology.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify business value metrics to measure the impact of changes, progress against outcomes and to provide a line of sight into investments.
  • Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders, managing them in terms of expectations, risks, dependencies and buy-in.
  • Design a scalable business re-engineering framework that equips execution teams with skillsets, tools and techniques for a culture of continuous improvement in Finance Operations and across stakeholders.
  • Set OKRs or similar goal frameworks to inspire the Program Execution team and create accountability for outcomes.
  • Be a servant leader to the Program Execution team, including developing their career and intellectual growth.
Knowledge, experience and skills
  • 10+ years of experience as a Program, Product or Solution Manager with demonstrated skills in building and developing teams.
  • Extensive experience in defining and managing visible, complex business/ technology initiatives.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of diving into details, while bringing a strategic and big picture perspective.
  • Subject matter expertise in program management, agile delivery, and business re-engineering specifically in a large financial services organization.
  • Proven experience in providing oversight to a portfolio of projects with strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly effective in stakeholder management with strong influencing skills and ability to communicate effectively with business and technology teams.
  • A leader who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to contribute.
