Deutsche Bank provides strategic advice over the full range of advisory services from a global platform with a strong presence in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific enabling us to complete innovative cross-border and regional transactions. Our Origination & Advisory (Corporate Finance) business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies and financial sponsors. With special emphasis on the ability to initiate, finance and successfully complete complex transactions across product classes, our advisory teams provide innovative solutions for our clients based on advice by industry and product specialists.

Your key responsibilities
  • Origination and execution of investment banking transactions (including M&A and capital markets), within renewables, power & utilities, mining and energy sectors.
  • Geographical sector remit with focus in Australia market.
  • Participate in and drive marketing efforts, including preparation and delivery of presentations
  • Build valuation models to support client discussions and conduct due diligence
  • Day to day handling of transaction execution and related client interaction
  • Transaction documentation and internal approvals processes
  • Attend client meetings independently

Your skills and experience
  • At least 6 years of relevant corporate finance experience
  • Working history in at least one vertical within coverage sectors
  • Highly motivated and self-driven, with ability to multitask and manage transaction teams
  • Strong quantitative skills including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to present to senior-level audiences
  • Strong interest in relevant sectors and energy transition - ability to identify and articular themes across the sector internally and to clients
  • Proven track record of training and mentoring team members
